Wyatt is dying.
I would say 'Wyatt believes he is dying' but it would be pointless to act that way. I don't know if I sense something, or just notice that he's a little off these days. I just lost one friend, now I'm going to lose the best one I ever had. Months, weeks, days, who knows.
I won't run this time. I need to remain near him, to say goodbye when the time comes. There's no guarantee that he will come back again, no matter what this castle does to people. He can't live forever. No one can, not even me no matter how tightly I cling to True Lightning.
The Rune for once is quiet. Probably because it doesn't have any rage within me to feed off of. I feel only resigned. Fate is what it will be. It is as much my fate to live as it is others' to die in their times. This coming back from death isn't natural. It isn't right. I don't regret getting to spend a couple of extra years with Wyatt, like it should have been had Luc and Yuber not killed him...but it's still just as much torture to their loved ones to have them back as it is a joy.
I've been wrapped up in my personal matters, so I haven't noticed that Sasarai is up to something. I need to focus. And be strong, and not look sour for Wyatt's sake. He'll smack me around if I do start moping publicly. I'll have to keep that between me and Sigurd for now.
